Dispelling Electric Vehicle Myths

Kia’s First Dedicated Electric Vehicle
A 77.4 kW battery powers the Kia EV6 to its high heights, able to see an estimated 480 km of estimated range from a full charge on the rear-wheel drive edition. The all-wheel drive version, which is sure to be a favourite for us Canadian drivers, lessens that range by only about 25 km or so. Even when you do need to charge your vehicle, it’ll be lightning fast thanks to the 400 and 800 volt charging ability, which means on 800 volts you’ll go from 10% to 80% charged in a scant 18 minutes. Quick charge for 4.5 minutes and immediately get 100 km of driving range. That’s ultra fast charging for those who don’t have time to wait.

Exterior & Interior Design
The EV6’s design looks sleek and acts that way too thanks to features like a flat hood and windshield line that allow it to effortlessly cut through the air, delivering terrific aerodynamics in any kind of driving environment. Further touches like the active air intakes and sculpted underbody serve to always prioritize an efficient ride. The eco-consciousness of the crossover extends beyond just its electric components, as the interior uses vegan leather and suede to finish off its interior, sustainable materials for a sustainable vehicle. The technology found inside mirrors the forward-thinking EV tech, with two 12.3-inch screens, one for infotainment and one for the instrument cluster. Head-up display is available as well to keep you focused on the road with your important information still at the ready.

Trims
Enjoy a selection of three trim levels to choose from, all providing their own varying levels of power, depending on your needs. The base EX trim arrives with RWD as standard, with a single electric motor that allows the EV6 to get to 225 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. The EX is also available in an AWD version, and with the upper GT Line trim receives 370 horsepower and 446 lb-ft of torque thanks to a second added motor. The top-level trim is the GT, with both of those motors seeing an increase to 576 horsepower and 545 lb-ft of torque. Along with the power disparity, each trim will set itself apart from the other with differing exterior bumpers.
