LX

Each and every 2022 Carnival trim level comes fit with the 3.5L V6 GDI engine under its hood, reaching 290 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. The bottom two LX trims are the only ones with 17-inch wheels, and feature body-colour matching door handles on the exterior. LX+

The LX+ does exactly what the + in its name signifies and adds on a bunch of features from the base level LX. Added are chrome door handles and roof rails on the exterior for a bit of an extra flourish and upgraded utility. While the LX+ was a big jump over the LX, the EX provides just as big of a jump from the LX+ in terms of the amount of upgraded features present. 19-inch machined-finish alloy wheels adorn the exterior, along with LED tail lights, automatic power-fold side view mirrors, a chrome skid plate, bumper molding and door garnish, alongside an updated matte chrome coated grille. Synthetic leather seats are found inside, alongside upgraded tech like advanced smart cruise control, UVO intelligence, HomeLink system and much more. The EX+ does what the LX+ did to the LX, and upgrades even more premium features onto the previous trim. On the exterior these include dual-function LED headlights, LED fog lights, aeroblade wipers and solar glass font windows. Inside, the touchscreen has been upgraded to a 12.3-inch screen, alongside additional tech like a passenger view camera, navigation-based smart cruise control, and a Supervision instrument cluster that as well has been increased to 12.3 inches. Operating near the top of Carnival trim choices, the EX+ provides worthy additions, especially in regards to its onboard technology.

SX

The top level Carnival trim, the SX, provides all you could ever want out of a Kia. It’s the sole trim with dynamic 19-inch black alloy wheels, complemented by a dual-pane power sunroof to enjoy the gorgeous Mississauga weather. The SX is the only Carnival trim with 7-passenger seating instead of the previous 4 trims’ 8-passenger seating, but that’s because the 2nd row features luxury captain’s chairs with kick-out leg rests, a worthy reason for sacrificing that extra seat. That’s not the only seating change, with all seats now being made of leather, and you and your passengers’ comfort at a premium with heated and air-cooled 2nd row seats and air-cooled front seats to go along with the previous heated capabilities.
