Hybrid LX
While the base level Hybrid LX is home to a wide variety of features, there’s only a select few that are only available on this trim and not on any of the other trim levels. The Hybrid LX is the only HEV or PHEV Sorento with 17-inch wheels, the rest of them come with upgraded 19-inch options. MFR LED low beam headlights only find their home on the Hybrid LX, while the rest of the trims receive LED headlights. Sit on leather or synthetic leather seats in the other trims, while this trim only sees cloth material seats. Finally, remote keyless entry comes on the Hybrid LX, while the upper trims receive a smart key with a push-button start. While not as advanced as the higher trims, as you’d expect, the Hybrid LX still features a solid assortment of style, comfort and tech features.

Hybrid EX
Being the first upgraded trim over the base level, the Hybrid EX comes with a whole host of upgrades. The exterior sees such improvements such as 19-inch machined-finish alloy wheels, LED headlights and roof rails. Interior comfort is well looked after with synthetic leather seats and additions to the support features of both the driver and passenger seats. Tech added includes UVO intelligence, the HomeLink system, smart power liftgate and more. On the safety side, both Blind-spot Collision Avoidance Assist and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist are added.

Plug-in Hybrid EX
The Plug-in Hybrid is the first level of the PHEV options available for this Sorento, and thus comes some slight changes to the mechanical engine specs. Horsepower is boosted to 261 for the Plug-in Hybrid models, from 227 on the Hybrid models. Thanks to this PHEV you can now enjoy 51 km of electric driving range and experience the height of efficient driving. Fuel consumption, as well, sees a huge improvement at 2.8 / 3.2 for the city/highway per L/100 km, compared to 6.4 / 7.0 for the HEV. Additional upgrades on this PHEV EX compared to the HEV models include LED fog lights and front parking sensors.
